From an early age, I knew I wanted to be an artist. I loved the idea of creating something that could evoke emotions in others. My passion for art led me to take classes in painting and drawing, pottery and graphic arts. While in school for graphic arts, I discovered photography. My teacher, who recognized my interest long before I had, was able to secure me a job with a local custom photo lab where I would develop professional photographers portraits and even restore old photos. At the time, I had realized how hard (and expensive) it would be to break into the business and focused my attention on nursing, my other great passion in life. The photography bug, unfortunately, stayed on the back burner for years.
After meeting my best friend and future husband in 2008 in nursing school, he surprised me with a Nikon DSLR camera. I unwrapped the box, but what I didn't realize then was that I also unwrapped a dream forgotten. With an extreme passion and a lot of heart, I set out to become a photographer...again...and that's precisely what happened.
Today, I'm proud of my dual careers as both an RN QAPI Program Manager and a professional photographer living in the Tampa Bay area with my husband, Peter, our daughter, Evie and our pug, Monkey.
I'd be honored to chat more about your ideas for a photo session so feel free to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information and pricing.
